Get Connected with a Discipleship Mentor

The goal of a mentor ministry is for two people to grow together as their friendship develops. As a more mature believer shares his or her wisdom, understanding, and love for the Lord, the younger believer learns from the other's experience. Mentoring gives shape to the commands of Scripture. To see a mature believer living out gentleness, love, joy, and kindness puts flesh on these words so that we can see what they look like in action. The good news about discipleship is that the learning isn’t just one way—the more mature believer grows too! As he or she recounts God’s faithfulness and shares God’s word, his or her own heart is refreshed and revived. Growing together in a Christ-centered relationship fosters a more intimate relationship with Jesus for both the younger and the more mature believer. A mentor friendship is structured around a schedule that fits the lives of both people and God’s word is woven into their time together.
